Belhaven will once again be a pick-up point for Christmas Trees bought through the Bethany Christian Trust's "Caring Christmas Trees" website. All trees are bought via that website so there are no cash/card transactions onsite at Belhaven.
Tree sales are now live, so you can purchase your tree now. Our distribution day at Belhaven is Saturday 9 December, and we will require four volunteers to help shift trees. Physical ability to move a tree and a willingness to chat are two attributes that would be helpful for volunteers on the day.
The volunteering times will be between 9:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., with everyone able to collect their trees between 10:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. If you are willing to volunteer, please sign up via this link: https://www.caringchristmastrees.com/event-details/dunbar-belhaven-parish-church-4
More information about Caring Christmas Trees can be found on the website linked above, but before here's a brief synopsis: "Every penny of profit from Caring Christmas Trees goes right back into the work of Bethany Christian Trust, helping to fund our vital, lifesaving work throughout the winter. Our services focus on Homelessness Prevention, Crisis Intervention and Housing with Support, alleviating the suffering and meeting the long term needs of people facing homelessness or at risk of homelessness."
Even if you are unable to volunteer, please consider buying your Christmas tree this year from Caring Christmas Trees - they do make a difference. If you have any questions, email info@caringchristmastrees.com or phone 0345 111 8733.
